Mary M. (Thursam) Mente, 85, of Lockport, NY formerly of Olcott, wife of Frederick Mente entered into rest at Eastern Niagara Hospital Lockport on Friday September 02, 2016. Born on July 09, 1931 in Tonawanda, NY to the late Walter and Irene (Marsh) Thursam.
Mary retired in 1991 from General Motors after 38 years as an accounting clerk. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. Mary and Fred were married for 52 years. They enjoyed traveling to Myrtle Beach, SC where they spent many winters. She enjoyed playing the piano and spending time with her family.
Survivors include her husband Frederick, a brother Charles (Patricia) Thursam of Olcott, NY ; two nieces Kelly(Kenneth) Eick of Medina, NY and Kathleen Thursam Bower of Olcott, NY. Also surviving are several great nieces and nephews. Mary is predeceased by a brother Walter “Chum” Thursam.

Funeral services will be held in the funeral home SATURDAY September 10th at 11 AM. Burial will follow in Corwin Cemetery.
