RANDOLPH — A 25-year-old Randolph man was charged early this morning with felony driving while intoxicated.

According to New York State Police, Zachary Walters drove his vehicle east on Cold Spring Street, exited the roadway, damaged a lawn, a fence and trees before coming to rest. The passenger in Walters’ vehicle was treated by EMS for minor injuries and released. Walters was transported to WCA Hospital in Jamestown for non-life threatening injuries and later released to the custody of the Troopers.

A check of Walters’ driving record revealed a DWI conviction in 2015 so the DWI charge was upgraded to a felony. Walters was processed at SP Jamestown, issued tickets returnable to the Town of Cold Spring Court and released. He is scheduled to appear in the Town of Cold Spring Court later in the month.
