A 25-year-old Genesee man was charged Friday with second-degree harassment and criminal obstruction of breathing, accused of choking and pushing a woman to the ground.

According to New York State Police, Troopers received a call from a woman stating that she had gotten into a verbal argument with Jeffery Deck. The argument turned physical, she said.

Deck turned himself into Troopers at SP Amity where he was charged. He was arraigned in Town of Clarksville Court and held on $1,000 bail. He is to appear in Town of Genesee Court next month to answer to the charges.
