Florence June Kolbe, age 72, entered into rest on Thursday, August 25, 2016 at Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital. Born January 29, 1944 in Lockport, Florence is the daughter of the late Percy and Winifred (Bloom) Ryan.
Florence was a graduate of Lockport High School. She worked for Verizon as an operator where she retired after 30 years of service. Florence married Herbert Kolbe in 1964 and together they enjoyed camping and spending time with their family. She also enjoyed playing Bingo. Florence was a lifetime charter member of the Hartland Fire Company’s auxiliary.
Surviving Florence is her loving husband: Herb, and children: Christine (George) Waters, Jeffrey (Anne) Kolbe and Susan (Robert Jr.) Haley. Grandmother of: Michelle and George Waters, Emmy and Alyssa Kolbe and Claire Lillian Haley. Sister of: Winifred (the late Fay) Heschke, Dorothy (the late Robert) Vigrass, Dawn (the late Raymond) Coyle, Donald (Judy) Ryan, Harold (the late Shirley) Ryan, Mary (the late Junior) Caldwell and Char (the late Pat) Patrick. She was predeceased by siblings: Betty (the late Gordon) Crane, Anna (Robert) Heschke, Geri (the late Ernie) Winters and Audrey (Wayne) Burgess.
Family and friends are invited to attend visitation at the Kenneth H. Sherrie Funeral Home, 6139 East Avenue, Newfane, NY on Sunday, August 28, 2016 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral Services will be held on Monday at 11:00 am from at the Lockport First Presbyterian Church, 21 Church Street, Lockport, NY 14094.
