BUFFALO — Sometimes the Internet can be a good thing.

Following massive criticism from the public about the canning of two local opening acts from a free Claypool Lennon Delirium concert at Canalside tonight, the local bands have been added back to the bill.

According to Randle and the Late Night Scandals, the show has been “expanded” to allow for them, as well as fellow Buffalo artists Kickstart Rumble.

The post, made to the Canalside event page on Facebook, states: “OK FANDALS… Great News. With all your buzz on Facebook, the news of the schedule conflict got to the artists Les Claypool and Sean Lennon. They have agreed to expand the show so here is the updated Schedule.”

It goes on to state that Randle and the Late Night Scandals will play from 6 to 6:30 p.m., followed by KickStart Rumble from 6:45 to 7:15 p.m., before Jjuujjuu takes the stage at 7:35 p.m. followed by Claypool and Lennon at 8:30 p.m.

Canalside confirmed the change, stating, “UPDATE on tonight’s Free Thursday Canalside Concert!: After all the social media comments, Les Claypool and Sean Lennon themselves went to their management teams and made the decision to let the local bands play tonight!”
