NORTH TONAWANDA — Fall is coming. You can tell because The Maize, 3901 Niagara Falls Blvd. opens for the season on Friday.

Open 10 a.m. – 9 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays, The Maize features two interactive mazes specially cut into a cornfield. There’s also several weekday specials and numerous free activities to go along with your $12 paid admission. Or for a few dollars more, there’s even more add-ons, like pumpkin decorating, a sabretooth slide, corn cannons, hay rides, and even a pumpkin-shaped bouncy pad.

Want free tickets for opening weekend? Check out their Scarecrow Jamboree, going on through Friday. It offers an exchange of tickets for help in decorating up by creating life-size scarecrows. And if your scarecrow wins their Facebook contest, you could win $100, too.

Then on Sept. 10, Pumpkingdom opens — with even more activities and family fun.
