If Shakespeare and the Erie County Fair were on your summer to-do list, today’s your last chance as the 2016 season of Shakespeare in Delaware Park and the 2016 Erie County Fair both conclude for the season today.

If you need to do both, you’re best bet is to start early at the fair as gates open at 9 a.m., with buildings opening at 10 and the midway at 11. Stay all day if you like, it closes at 11 p.m. If, however, you want to squeeze in the last rendition of the Taming of the Shrew at Delaware Park, best leave by 6 p.m. or so to make the 7:30 p.m. performance.

If neither of those float your boat, there’s the Buffalo Float at 10 a.m. at Buffalo Riverworks or take a Historic Buffalo River Cruise at 12:30 or 3 p.m. There’s also the Buffalo Niagara Scottish Festival at the Buffalo Niagara Heritage Village until 6 p.m.

Bonus points if you can do all five, Clark W. Griswold style: We’d suggest float, fair, cruise, Scottish Festival and then Shakespeare.
