David W. Hollenbaugh, age 83 “39” of Lockport, entered into rest on Wednesday, August 17, 2016 at Niagara Hospice House in Lockport surrounded by his loving family. Born January 18, 1933 in Beachwood, PA, David is the son of the late: Maurice and Theona (Weaver) Hollenbaugh.

He served his country in the Korean War as a Marine from 1950 until 1954 achieving the rank of Sergeant. He retired from Harrison Radiator in Lockport working in Plant Security in 1987 after 32 years. He married Elizabeth (Skutt) Bennett November 4, 2009 at Terry’s Corners Fire Hall where he was a member. He was also a member of the Marine Corps League “Devil Dog Detachment”. He enjoyed playing Bingo and spending time with his family.

David has lived in Lockport since 2005, previously of Gasport.

Surviving is his wife: Elizabeth. Dear father of: Linda (Douglas) Mault, Cindy
(Russell) Harris. He was predeceased by his first wife: Patricia (Schreffler) Hollenbaugh and a daughter: Peggy (Dale) Keyes. Step-father of: Elizabeth (John) Taylor, Cheryl (Daniel) Shoop, Ray (Caroline) Bennett, Daniel (Bessie) Bennett and the late Andrew Bennett. Brother of: Norman (Nancy) Hollenbaugh, William Hollenbaugh, Melvin (Gail) Hollenbaugh and Barbara (Mike) Magierski. 18 grandchildren and 39 and ½ great grandchildren also survive David.

Family and friends are invited to attend visitation at the Sherrie-Bream Funeral Home, 4521 Main Street, Gasport, on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral Services will be held on Monday from the funeral home at 11:00 am.
