BUFFALO — The Silo City Reading Series wraps up for the season tonight with works from Ocean Vuong, Sherry Robbins, Space Cubs, & Projex.

Vuong will read from his first full-length collection, Night Sky With Exit Wounds, which was recently published by Copper Canyon Press. Vuong has also authored a pair of books: “No” and “Burnings” and was an American Library Association’s Over The Rainbow selection. A 2016 Whiting Award winner, a 2014 Ruth Lilly fellow, Ocean has received honors and awards from Poets House, the Elizabeth George Foundation, the Civitella Ranieri Foundation, the Saltonstall Foundation for the Arts, the Academy of American Poets, and a 2014 Pushcart Prize. His poems have been featured in Best New Poets, Harvard Review, Kenyon Review, The Nation, New Republic, The New Yorker, Poetry, and American Poetry Review, which awarded him the 2012 Stanley Kunitz Prize for Younger Poets. Born in Saigon, Vietnam, he currently resides in New York City.

Robbins has a Masters in the poetics of ecstasy and two books of poetry, “Snapshots of Paradise” and “Or, the Whale.” The certified yoga instructor ran her own letterpress for years and is a multi-year panelist for the NEA’s Art Works program.

Space Cubs is producer Suzanne Bonifacio, which will offer a special acoustic performance in the Marine A silo.

Finally, Projex is an installation artist, VJ, DJ and projectionist from Buffalo. Going beyond the digital screen, Projex combines more than ten years of electronic music experience with elements of video, music, projection and art. Using light mapping technology, Projex blurs the lines between audio and visual.

Tonight’s event — from 7 to 10 p.m. — is the final one slated for Silo City this season.
