BUFFALO — A 20-year-old Buffalo man will serve 18 years to life in prison following a guilty plea for second-degree murder.

According to Acting District Attorney Michael J. Flaherty, Jr., Leonard Robinson, who also goes by the name “Pooder,” murdered 42 year-old Antoin Vance inside of his home at 302 Purdy St. in November by shooting him with an illegal pistol after an argument over money. Robinson also shot and injured 24 year-old Dominique Jackson, Vance’s niece who was an innocent bystander.  Jackson has since recovered.

While fleeing the scene of the shooting, Robinson drove a car off of Humboldt Parkway – crashing onto the lower section of the Kensington Expressway with the vehicle landing upside down.  He left the crash scene and was on the run for a month.

Robinson was taken into custody on Dec. 29 in Los Angeles, California, where he was located through the joint effort of the US Marshalls Service and Buffalo Police Department.
