BUFFALO — Patrons of the Buffalo Zoo on Saturday got to meet a trio of lion cubs for the first time.

The cubs, born on May 12 to first-time mother Lusaka and second-time dad Tiberius, were greeted to the public at 10 a.m. Their names were unveiled an hour later.

ROAR Logistics, Inc., new sponsor of the zoo’s Big Cat exhibit, has named the male cub, Roary. Zoo staff decided on Asha for one of the female cubs and the second female was named Amirah by a vote of the general public.

The addition of the trio make for four new lion cubs to the Buffalo Zoo this year. Tobias was welcomed to the zoo on March 5 and met the public for the first time on Father’s Day.
