BUFFALO — Buffalo Sabre Evander Kane was arraigned today on harassment and trespassing charges stemming from a June 24 incident at a Chippewa Street bar.

According to Acting Erie County District Attorney Michael J. Flaherty, Jr., Kane’s charges include one count of third-degree criminal trespassing and four counts of second-degree harassment, as well as a single count of disorderly conduct.

According to the DA’s office, Kane refused to leave the Bottoms Up bar at 69 W. Chippewa St. on June 24, despite being ordered to do so by a security guard. He is also accused of harassing several people while inside the bar.

Kane pleaded not guilty and was released with a return court date of Sept. 9 for a pre-trial conference before Judge Johnson-Lee.

If convicted of all the charges, Kane could face a maximum of 90 days in jail.
