AMHERST — The Amherst Police Department is looking for a suspect accused of stealing a pair of cell phones on Tuesday.
According to Amherst PD, the 5-foot, 9-inch black male stole a victim’s cell phone during an argument around 10:20 pm. He then took the victim’s juvenile son’s cell phone as he was trying to take a photograph of the fleeing suspect.
The suspect is believed to be between 30-40 years old. He was wearing a black t-shirt, camouflage pants, and a gold chain with a round gold pendant. He left the scene in a newer model black Chevy Malibu with tinted windows and gold plates. He was accompanied by a black female.
