GRAND ISLAND — The Erie County Sheriff’s Office is warning Grand Island residents to lock their vehicles following a string of burglaries in the past 24 hours.

The warning comes just days after the Niagara County Sheriff’s Office issued a similar warning in Bergholz.
All police agencies recommend that owners of vehicles that are left in driveways or on streets overnight lock the vehicles and ensure that valuables are not in plain sight.
