BUFFALO — Buffalo police charged 38-year-old Phoebe Banks with leaving the scene of an injury accident and vehicle and traffic infractions following a hit-and-run that sent a 10-year-old boy to the hospital.

According to BPD, they used City of Buffalo surveillance cameras to find the Buffalo woman after she struck the juvenile pedestrian at Dartmouth and Comstock avenues shortly before 7 p.m. Thursday.

The city surveillance camera at Bailey Avenue and Dartmouth located her 2003 Dodge Caravan and information from the camera room was quickly relayed to patrol officers who apprehended her a short time later.

The 10 year old boy was transported to Women and Children’s Hospital where he was treated and released last night.
