TOWN OF LOCKPORT — Town of Lockport Attorney and former Niagara County Republican Chairman Mike Norris threw his proverbial hat into the ring today to replace outgoing Assemblywoman Jane Corwin as the representative for the 144th District.

Norris, 40, also serves as the attorney for the Town of Somerset and Village of Casadega in addition to serving as a partner in the private practice Seaman Norris. He has previously worked as as association for Seaman, Jones, Hogan & Brooks, as counsel for former State Sen. George Maizarz, as corporation counsel for the City of Lockport and town prosecutor for the towns of Lockport and Hartland, as well as chief of staff to former State Assemblyman David Seaman, and intern to City of Lockport Mayors Tom Rotondo, Jr. and Ken Swan.

He is a member of the Lockport, Niagara County, Erie County, and New York State Bar Associations who received his Bachelor of Arts Degree from Niagara University and Juris Doctorate from Albany Law School. Mr. Norris was admitted to the New York State Bar in 2006.
 
Norris is a member and Past President of the Lockport Rotary Club and received the Paul Harris Fellow in 2013.
