LITTLE VALLEY — A 61-year-old Allegany man was charged Friday with violating an order of protection.
According to New York State Police, the estranged wife of David J Sherr told them she had been receiving text messages from Sherr, in violation of a complete stay away order of protection prohibiting Sherr from contacting her.
Troopers located Sherr in Little Valley NY and arrested him. He was processed at SP Olean and arraigned in the Town of Carrollton court before being released on his own recognizance. He is set to reappear in the Town of Allegany court later this month.
