ELLICOTTVILLE — Two motorcyclists were charged with reckless endangerment Thursday after New York State Police say they were traveling in excess of 120 mph.

According to the police report, Troopers observed two motorcycles heading northbound and going 78 mph in a 55 mph zone. “Both motorcycles observed the marked State Police vehicle pull out into traffic after them and prior to the Trooper activating his emergency lights, both motorcycles accelerated to 120 mph. The motorcycles continued northbound into the Town of Ashford and going in excess of 120 mph.”

Police found the motorcycles hidden behind a farm at the end of Henrietta Road and the operators — 25-year-old Justin Liszewski of Lancaster and 26-year-old Danielle DiPasquale of North Tonawanda — were found a short distance away hiding in brush.

Liszewski and DiPasquale were each issued multiple traffic tickets in addition to second-degree reckless endangerment. They were released with notice to appear in court in Ashford.

The police report notes that “At no time were any police vehicles pursuing the motorcycles.”
