CJ Andrews of Andrews Barber Parlor came out top of the 2016 All WNY Awards vote for Best Barber.
Andrews Barber Parlor is located at 191 Main St., in East Aurora. Andrews runs the shop, along with Wendy Aplin. Andrews’ brother Dustin — a fellow nominee — works at the shop, as well.
Aside out outpacing his brother, Andrews clipped several other Western New York barbers, including Buffalo Trim, Alan Carter – Al’s Barbershop, Bob DeBlasi – Basil’s Barbershop, Joel Echeverria – Joel Ech Barber & Beauty Supply, Wilfredo “Freddy” Garcia – Pagans Barbershop, Berto Negron – Slawich Cut ‘n Shave, Josh Pagan – Pagans Barbershop, Mike Slawich – Slawich Cut ‘n Shave, and Sean Thompson – Sean’s House Of Masters Barbers Shop.
Best Barber is the fourth non-music award given from All WNY Awards and the first not won by a Niagara County organization.
Next up: Best outdoor deck or patio. We’ll have the nomination form up this afternoon with nominations continuing through Sunday and voting to start on July 11.
We will also announce later today the 2016 All WNY Music Award nominees so far. There is four weeks remaining in the nomination process for the 64 categories in the seventh-annual award competition.
