BUFFALO — A 54-year-old West Seneca woman died this morning after driving her car into the Niagara River at the Ontario Street boat launch in Black Creek Canal Park.
Buffalo Police say officers responded to the scene just after midnight, pulling the woman’s body from her submerged car.
Members of BPD, BFD and the U.S. Coast Guard searched the area for other victims.
The woman — who police have not yet identified publicly — was taken to Kenmore Mercy Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
BPD is still investigating the incident.
