BUFFALO — An “upscale happy hour featuring all things local” will debut Thursday at Fountain Plaza.

The new weekly event, Queen City Social, is the latest endeavor for Buffalo Place — the folks that brought you Thursday in the Square. It will run from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. each Thursday through Aug. 4. There will be local bands, restaurants and, of course, beer.
Participating restaurants — on a rotating basis — include Jerk’s Soda Fountain and Ice Cream Shop, -Frankie Primos+39, Kaydara Noodle Bar, Oshun, The Patio at 447 Main Restaurant and Bar, Raclettes, and Soho Burger Bar.
The schedule of bands is:
- June 30 – Billy McEwen and the Soul Invaders
- July 7 – Tom Stahl and the Dangerfields
- July 14 – The Willie Schoellkopf Band
- July 21 – George Scott’s Big Band of the Colored Musicians Club
- July 28 – The Alison Pipitone Band
- Aug. 4 – Hot Club of Buffalo
