East Aurora is the site of several popular art shows this weekend, featuring the skills of Roycroft-trained artisans.

The annual Roycroft Art and Antique Show runs from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, featuring contemporary artists as well as antique dealers from around the region, with a full list of participants available here. Also, artists throughout the campus will open their studios to the public and provide demonstrations of their various crafts.

Contemporaneous to the Roycroft event, The East Aurora Art Society will host its 58th annual Outdoor Summer Exhibit and Sale, themed “The Colors of Summer.” The free event will take place on the East Aurora Middle School grounds across the street from the Roycroft Campus.

Also happening is the 40th Anniversary Roycroft Summer Festival, hosted by the Roycrafters-at-Large Association. Located on the Parkdale Elementary School grounds, close to the Roycroft campus at 141 Girard Avenue, the Summer Festival boasts two days of demonstrations and presentations by Roycroft Master Artisans and Roycroft Artisans.

The Roycrafters-at-Large website notes the Summer Festival used to be hosted at the historic campus, but moved in 2010 due to construction at the Roycroft. They go on to state ” the Festival settled so comfortably into it’s new location at Parkdale Elementary School, that today… you will still find the real Roycroft Artisans there each summer.”

All three events run Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m.
