Western New Yorkers really do love their coffee. And a lot of them love Lewiston’s Orange Cat Coffee Company, winners of the All WNY Award for Best Locally-Owned Coffee Shop.

The coffee category drew more votes than either of the prior All WNY Award categories: Best Burger and Best Tourist Attraction.

Orange Cat had stiff competition from nine other locally owned coffee shops: Spot Coffee (multiple locations), Grindhaus Café (Allen Street – Buffalo), Public espresso + coffee (Washington Street – Buffalo), Joe Bean Coffee Roasters (University Avenue – Rochester), Daily Planet Coffee Co. (Hertel Avenue – Buffalo), Pulp 716 (East Avenue – Lockport), Sweet_ness 7 (Grant Street – Buffalo), Dog Ears Bookstore & Café (Abbott Road – Buffalo), and Scripts Cafe (East Avenue – Lockport).

With best coffee shop concluded, it’s time for another nominating category: Best Barber. It can be a particular barber or barber shop. Please note, we are not looking for hair stylists. That will be another category for another day.

Nominations are also still being taken currently for the 2016 All WNY Music Awards, now in their seventh year. Those nominations are being taken here: http://www.allwnyawards.com/2016/05/2016-all-wny-music-awards-nominations.html
