A series of free community exercise classes starts Sunday at venues across Western New York.

Fitness in the Parks, a collaborative effort from Independent Health and YMCA Buffalo Niagara, is designed to encourage all Western New Yorkers to stay on track with their fitness goals by patricipating in the weekly 60-minute fitness classes,taught by YMCA certified instructors.

Different classes will be taught at different locations on different days of the week. Kickbox on Fridays in Amherst, take a yoga class in Buffalo on Wednesday, do pilates in Cheektowaga on Tuesday. Advance sign up and registration is not required. Just show up and work out.
