FILLMORE — A 53-year-old Granger man was charged Tuesday with felony aggravated driving while intoxicated following a traffic stop on West Main Street.

According to New York State Police, Charles E. Heslin was stopped for operating a motorcycle without a helmet. While being interviewed, Troopers determined him to be intoxicated.
He was transported to the State Police barracks at Fillmore for processing where he recorded a 0.09 percent blood alcohol content.

Heslin was convicted of DWI within the previous 10 years, making his current charge a felony.   He was also charged with first-degree aggravated unlicensed operation because at the time of the stop his driver’s license was revoked for a prior driving while ability impaired conviction.

Heslin was arraigned before the Town of Hume Court where he posted $5,000 cash bail.
