ELLICOTT — A 48-year-old Pennsylvania woman was charged Sunday with unlawful possession of marijuana following a traffic stop on Route 60.

According to New York State Police, Jacqueline Madison, 48, of Homestead, Pa., was pulled over for failing to dim her high beams. While Troopers were speaking to Madison and her passenger, they observed several partially smoked marijuana cigarettes inside Madison’s vehicle in plain view. The troopers also located a grinder containing marijuana vegetation in Madison’s purse.

Madison was placed under arrest, issued an appearance ticket, and is scheduled to appear in the Town of Ellicott Court later in the month.
