LOCKPORT — A 31-year-old Lockport man was charged Thursday with driving while intoxicated and unlawful possession of marijuana following a traffic stop.

According to New York State Police, Shaun Burke was pulled over for speeding and failing to stop and the intersection of Lincoln Avenue and Akron Road. He was determined to be intoxicated and found to carrying a small amount of marijuana in the vehicle.

Burke was transported to SP Lockport where he provided a breath sample of .10 percent. Burke was then processed and issued tickets returnable to the Town of Lockport Court.
