SCIO — A 46-year-old Belmont man was charged May 24 with driving while intoxicated and leaving the scene of an accident.

According to New York State Police, Michael A. Graham was charged subsequent to an investigation into a property damage accident where he allegedly fled the scene and was located shortly thereafter.

Police administered standard field sobriety tests, which he failed. He was found to have a .17 percent blood alcohol content.

Graham was released on tickets to return before the Town of Scio Court on June 7.
