SCIO — A pair of Scio men were charged with multiple counts of burglary by New York State Police following a lengthy investigation into burglaries in the towns of Wirt and Scio.

Nineteen-year-old Justin M. Learn and 24-year-old Ryan R. Mitchell were each charged with four counts of second-degree burglary and two counts of third-degree burlary.

Mitchell and Learn were processed at SP Amity and arraigned in the Town of Wirt Court then remanded to the Allegany County Jail in lieu of $50,000 cash bail or $100,000 bond. Both were directed to re-appear in Town of Wirt Court at a later date. The State Police were assisted in the case by the Allegany County District Attorney Kieth Slep.
