BUFFALO — A 32-year-old former corrections officer from the Erie County Holding Center was arraigned Friday on charges of third-degree bribe receiving, first-degree promoting prison contraband, fifth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and fifth-degree conspiracy.

According to Acting Erie County District Attorney Michael J. Flaherty, Jr., Adam Fiegl of Orchard Park is accused of accepting a $200 bribe to bring Suboxone pills to inmates in the Erie County Holding Center. Following a search warrant from the Erie County Sheriff’s Office, deputies say they found the pills in the inside pocket of Fiegl’s jacket.

Fiegl pleaded not guilty and paid the $15,000 bail. He will have to appear in court on July 15. He has been terminated from his job at the Erie County Sheriff’s Office.
