BUFFALO, NY – Western New York students are invited to attend a summer reading and writing enrichment camp at Canisius College. The camp will be held from 1 – 3:30 p.m. July 18 – 22 and July 25 – 29.

Open to students in grades 2-12, the camp provides hour-long enrichment experiences in reading and writing. Each day will see a reading camp and writing camp where students will be engaged in small group activities including web quests, literature circles, readers’ theatre and poetry.

Camp students will work with peers as well as interns in the Canisius College Literacy Center who are certified teachers near completion of their master’s degrees in literacy education.

The cost of the camp is $75 for one week or $125 for both weeks. Scholarships are also available to those interested. All camp activities will be held in the Canisius College Literacy Center, located in the Health Science building on the corner Delevan and Jefferson avenues.
