Congratulations go to Whiskey Reverb, winners of a pair of 2015 All WNY Music awards in today’s announced categories, and runner-up in a third category.

The now-defunct Buffalo band took the top spot for Most Original Act, as well as Best Live Show (Stage Presence). Their fans, the “Rag Family” was pronounced the second most passionate group among the Western New York music scene.

The band is no stranger to the 2015 awards. One of the group’s two lead singers — AJ Amherst — was named won top honors in the Best Hip-Hop/Rap Performer/Group on Monday.

The second-place prize for Most Original Act was awarded to the Ed Koban Group, while Super Killer Robots earned third. In the Best Live Show, category, second place was awarded to Super Killer Robots. Third-place honors go to Metal Militia.

It was 90 West fans who took the top spot in their category. They were voted Most Passionate Groupies/Fans in the 2015 All WNY Music Awards. Third place in that category went to Metal Militia.

Steve Urge is the winner in the Best Composer category. Second place was awarded to Paul Blurt (DJEKS) of Digital Afterlife and The Finality Complex. Third-place honors were granted to Razbaque Dirge.

Congratulations to Darkapathy, winners of the Best Hardcore/Death Metal Band category for 2015. Second place goes to One Way Terror.

Mike Setlock is the proud owner of the title “Best DJ,” while second place was awarded to Michael Krisch, and third place honors were given to DJ Joe Serious.

Bittersweet congratulations go to Suckerpunch, voted as the band WNY music fans were Saddest to See Go. Fans also didn’t want to see Dive House Union go. They came in second place. B-Side Basterds were voted third.

Congratulations to Greg Burt of For the Music Productions, winner of the 2015 All WNY Music Award for Best Promoter. Dave Buffamonti placed second in the competition and AfterDark came in third.
Matt Garcia took the top prize in the Best Sound Guy/Business catefory. Greg Burt of the Forvm took second place, while Dave Guilford of Ripe Audio won third.
And finally, Sonic Farm Studio is the winner the award for Best Studio/Recording Mixer. Second place was awarded to Watchmen Studios. Third place went to GCR Audio.
There have now been 41 awards announced from the 2015 All WNY Music Awards. Ten more will be announced Thursday, with the final 10 being announced on Friday. 
Nominations for the 2016 All WNY Music Awards are slated to begin on May 15. Nomination details will be released then.
