High Horse continues to earn accolades from the Western New York Music community. The four-piece comprised of Gus Gregory, Chuck DeRose, Eli Porter and Sandy Belsky was awarded the honor being named Best Rock Band/Act today in the 2015 All WNY Music Awards.

The band had already received top honors for Best Composition of a Song for “Clarissa,” as well as Best Jam/Groove Band category. They have two prior second-place finshes, as well in the Best Classic Rock Cover Band category and for Best Rendition of a Cover Song for its adaptation of Bill Withers’ “Use Me.”

Steelhorse took second place in the category, while third place was awarded to DDT.

Lazlo Hollyfeld won the  Best Instrumental Band category. The second place award went to The Chicago Authority. Third Place was awarded to the Ralph Fava Trio.


Diceros was the top vote-getter in the Best Post-Hardcore/Metalcore Band category. The second place award went to Scenery With Solace. Third Place was awarded to Contempt Creates a Killer.
Congratulations to 90 West for being named Best Country Band/Act. The second place award went to JB Aaron. Third Place was awarded to Wasted Whiskey.
Skyepilot took top honors for Best Lyrics in a Song for “He Said I Said.” The second place award went to Patrick Jaouen, while High Horse took third for the lyrics on “Sweet Baby Jane.”

Voters determined Digital Afterlife to be the Best Electronic Band/Act. The second place award went to Smart House. Third Place was awarded to BlurrAngels.

Congratulations to Austin Nova for winning Best Contemporary Pop Band. Second place was won by K-Ride.
The Traditional took first place in the 2015 All WNY Music Award in the Best Pop-Punk/Pop-Rock Band category. Second place went to 3 Hour Power Shower, while The Home Crowd won third.
B-Side Basterds are winners of the 2015 All WNY Music Award in the Best Ska Band category. Reggie Childs took second place in the category.
Congratulations to the Chris Squier Band for winning the Best Indie/Alternative Band category in the 2015 All WNY Music Awards. Difecta took second place in the category, while City Streets came in third.
Announcements of award winners will continue through Friday. 
Nominations for the 2016 All WNY Music Awards are slated to begin on May 15. Nomination details will be released then.
