Clarence guitarist Shawn Duchscherer and his band — The Other Band — took home a total of three top awards in today’s announcements for the 2015 All WNY Music Awards.

Duchscherer took top honors in the Best Solo Act/Project, while Shawn Duchscherer & The Other Band took the top spot in the Best Acoustic Act/Band category, as well as the Best Folk Band/Act category. Sunday’s award announcements included a second-place finish for Duchscherer and a third-place finish for The Other Band.

Second place in the Best Folk Band/Act category was awarded to Patrick Jaouen, while PA Line took third place. The second place award for Best Solo Act/Project went to Patrick Jaouen. Third Place was awarded to Tom Bender. The second place award in the Best Acoustic Act/Band category went to Jamie Holka. Third Place was awarded to Bittersweet Acoustic.

High Horse won the Best Composition of a Song for “Clarissa.” The second place award went to Chris Squier for “A Million Parts of a Million Stars.” Third Place was awarded to Digital Afterlife for their song “Amount.”

One Way Terror took the first-place spot in the Best Punk Band category. The second-place award went to Throw Away.

Congratulations to the Ralph Fava Trio for winning the 2015 All WNY Music Award for Best Jazz Band/Act. The second place award went to GRAVY. Third Place was awarded to the Felski Trio.

Congratulations to Verse for winning the 2015 All WNY Music Award for Best R&B/Soul Artist/Band.

Congratulations to Metal Militia for winning the 2015 All WNY Music Award for Best Tribute Act. Taking second place was What The Beck. Out On The Tiles took third.

Congratulations to Hotel Bravo for winning the 2015 All WNY Music Award for Best 90’s/Modern Cover Band. The second place award went to Counterfeit. Third Place was awarded to Wide Right.
AJ Amherst, formerly of Whiskey Reverb, now of the Monkey Brothaz, won top honors in the Best Hip-Hop/Rap Performer/Group category. MC ZiLL took second place, while DeeZ 716 won third.
Ten more award categories will be announced each day through Friday.
