LEWISTON — Container gardeners wanted! Those with a flair for fabulous mini-gardens are invited to enter their unique displays in the annual Container Garden Contest as part of the 2016 Lewiston GardenFest.
Sponsored by the Lewiston Garden Club, the contest is judged by the public over the course of the two-day event in June, with the People’s Choice Award presented at 4 p.m. June 19.
The 11th annual festival runs 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. June 18 and 19 on Center Street in Lewiston. Several demonstrations have been scheduled to be presented by local garden enthusiasts, on such topics as flower arrangement and creating garden paths.
Local food and craft vendors will line Center Street offering wares for public perusal. Applications for vendors are still available online, and are encouraged to be submitted ASAP.
