EAST AURORA — A 19-year-old Buffalo woman was charged with impaired driving following a traffic stop at Seneca and Transit roads.

According to the Erie County Sheriff’s Office, a report came in of a vehicle that may have been involved in an accident with front-end damage and driving on its rims.

The responding deputy located the vehicle and stopped it. With assistance from Drug Recognition Expert, Deputy Biegasiewicz, the operator, Montana Skimin, was arrested and charged with DWI – impaired by drugs.  The defendant was also charged with unlawful possession of the vehicle and unsafe tires. Skimin was released on appearance tickets.

The East Aurora Police Department responded to the scene to investigate the earlier crash.
