Buffalo’s Lost Like Lions took first place in the 2015 All WNY Music Awards’ Best New Band/Artist category. The four-piece alt-rock band beat out nine other nominees for the top prize in the award category. Taking second place was Twin Lions, while third place went to Man BearPig.

In the Best Guitarist category, Bob Wilczak of Fat Brat took first place among the whopping 26 nominees. Second place went to Shawn Duchscherer, while the third-place winner was Johnny Roxx of 1980 Something.

High Horse won the Best Jam/Groove Band category. Taking second place was Aqueous. Third place went to Sudden Urge.

Hair Nation was voted Best Metal Band, besting second-place finisher I’m From the Government And I’m Here To Help. Third Place was awarded to Super Killer Robots.

Voters determined that the Best Blues Band/Act was Mick Hayes Band. The second place award went to Jony James. Third Place was awarded to Hayden Fogle and the Ambassadors.

Fat Brat was named the Best Classic Rock Cover Band. The second place award went to High Horse. Third Place was awarded to Steelhorse.

Jake (JJ King) Klimchuk was determined to be Western New York’s Best Drummer/Percussionist. Kudos also go to second-place finisher Steve Urge and third-place awardee Leo Gastle of 1980 Something.

The Best Cover Vocalist (Any Genre) award went to Edward Schbauer. The second-place award went to Pete Vogt, while third place was awarded to Jammer Corbin of DDT.

Digital Afterlife won the 2015 All WNY Music Award for Best Rendition of a Cover Song for its adaptation of Depeche Mode’s “Enjoy the Silence.” Taking second place was High Horse for a cover of Bill Withers’ “Use Me.” Third place went to The Other Band for their version of JS Bach’s “Invention 13.”

Congratulations also go to Code Red Global for winning the 2015 All WNY Music Award for Best Record Label and to The Other Print Shop for winning the 2015 All WNY Music Award for Best Place To Get T-Shirts/Band Accessories.

Ten more award categories will be announced each day through Friday.
