If you want to help put an end to cancer — but also want the opportunity to win some cash, an online fundraiser to benefit a pair of cancer organizations is offering to split the proceeds with donors.

Stick it to Cancer is running a 50/50 split GoFundMe campaign through Aug. 15 in hopes of raising as much money as possible to donate to to this year’s Ride for Roswell (Erie County Probation Team) and Walk for Lymphedema (team What the Swell?!).

Stick it to Cancer, started in 2009 by Lisa McPartland, has raised over $10,000 in it seven year history. Typically she hosts event-style fundraisers complete with basket raffles and entertainment, but decided to scale it down this year to give her family “a break from event planning.”

Still, her family is the first to get involved. The first donation to the GoFundMe campaign was from McPartland herself. Three of the next six were from family.

McPartland is 11 years cancer-free. She has been a lymphedema patient since 2008.
