To celebrate the end of winter, Buffalo RiverWorks is hosting what they’re billing as the “first annual” Thawfest beginning at 6 p.m. Friday.

The “springtime beer, wine, distillery and music festival” will feature over 20 local breweries, distilleries and vineyards to sample from with a limited edition Thawfest custom glass goblet while enjoying music from the award-winning Tommy Z Band.

Tickets are $39 per person, which allows you to try all the craft beverages RiverWorks has on hand. There are also VIP tickets available featuring “some of the rarest beers and craft beverages in our area,” as well as a VIP buffet for $20 more. Designated driver tickets are also available for $10.

The Buffalo Sabres game will be on RiverWork’s 25-foot television while the Sabres play their final home game of the 2015-2016 season.
