The National Weather Service has issued a winter storm warning for Erie, Genesee, Wyoming, Niagara and Orleans counties through 2 p.m. Monday.

The weather service forecasts four to seven inches of snow overnight and an additional one to three inches on Monday in the effected areas. Additionally, winds of 10 to 20 mph are expected with 35 mph gusts, leading to visibilities as low as a quarter mile and hazardous travel conditions.

A winter storm warning is issued when severe winter weather is expected, including heavy snow, ice and wind. Extreme caution is advised when traveling.
