BUFFALO — Buffalo parade-goers at Sunday’s St. Patrick’s Day Parade will have to forego their planned trips to Tim Horton’s on Delaware Avenue during the festivities.

The Tim Horton’s/Coldstone at 537 Delaware Avenue will be closed from 1 p.m. until one hour after the conclusion of the annual parade while the street will be crowded with people.

A sign on the door of the store said the closure is for the safety of store employees, adding, “This is due to the uncontrolled alcohol consumption by minors, which causes property damage and lawless behavior every year.”

A Starbucks along the parade route will also reportedly be closed during the parade.

The St. Patrick’s Day Parade starts at 2 p.m. on Sunday, running north on Delaware Avenue from Niagara Square to North Street.
