BUFFALO – The Buffalo State men’s and women’s swimming and diving team competed today against the Oswego Lakers and Medaille Mavericks at the Buffalo State Kissinger Pool. The men picked up a win against Medaille (83-40) but fell to Oswego (133.50-53.50) while the women picked up two wins in the effort (150-23 vs. Medaille and 103-95 vs. Oswego).

Men’s Notables:

  • Sean Mahaney (Alden, NY/Alden) raced to two first place finishes in the 200 free (1:54.28) and 100 fly (56.93).
  • Chris Signore (Buffalo, NY/Canisius) also picked up a win in the 500 free with a time of 5:28.28.
  • Matt Banks (Lancaster, NY/St. Joe’s) earned a win in the 100 free with a time of 49.98.
  • The trio teamed up with Colby Riexinger (Brockport, NY/Brockport) as they raced to a second place finish to close out the meet in the 200 free relay.

Women’s Notables:

  • Hannah Heil (Medina, NY/Medina) and Maggie Parobek (Amherst, NY/Amherst) were both double winners as Heil took wins in the 50 and 100 free while Parobek took the wins in the 200 IM and 100 fly.
  • Maggie Bilquin (Niagara Falls, NY/Niagara Falls) also took a win in the 100 breast with a time of 1:11.79.
  • The trio teamed up with Claire Kasinski (Lancaster, NY/St. Mary’s) to take the win in the 200 medley relay.
