Paul C. Chiodo, 93, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away at his residence on January 6, 2023 surrounded by his loving family.  Born on in Niagara Falls, NY, he was the son of the late Charles C. and Philomena ‘Jennie” (Pascucci) Chiodo.

Paul attended Trott Vocational, where he played basketball and football.  On September 8, 1951, he married Carrie (DiDomizio) Chiodo.  Mrs. Chiodo predeceased him on August 30, 2014.  Paul served in the Army Reserves as a Sergeant from 1952 until 1961.  He was employed with the E.I. DuPont Company in Niagara Falls, NY as a Chemical Analyst in the Laboratory for 41 years until his retirement in 1985.  He later worked at Francis Optical Co. and with the New York State Parks Department as a Green Thumb for 15 years.  Paul loved vegetable and flower gardening, playing volleyball, bowling in individual and mixed leagues, and woodworking.  Above all, his life centered around his family.

Paul is survived by his children, Barbara (Richard) Ferchen, Paul G. Chiodo, and Dr. Christopher C. (Vanessa) Chiodo; his grandchildren, Noelle Chiodo and Natalia Chiodo, as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.  In addition to his wife of 63 years, he was predeceased by his sister, Marie (late Edward) Renzo.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 12 from 10:30 AM to 12 Noon at M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY 14304, where funeral services will be held at 12 Noon.  Entombment in Riverdale Cemetery, Lewiston, NY.  If desired, memorial offerings may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.  Visit mjcoluccifuneralchapel.com for online condolences.
