It is with great sadness that the family of Elizabeth Caroline Dershem announces her passing on February 5th, 2021.

Elizabeth was born in Lockport, New York on July 3rd, 1926 to Adah Aiken Wintermuth and Ralph Conrad Wintermuth.

Elizabeth met and married Norman R. Dershem on December 6th, 1947.  Norman predeceased his wife in July of 2014. Together they raised two daughters, Cynthia (William) Russell and Carolyn (Jeffrey) Koup.

Our mother was a wonderful homemaker and an excellent seamstress who taught sewing at Sears over the years to many students. Our Mom is and will always be the symbol of courage, strength and determination (despite the challenges she faced), love and caring, and our guiding light throughout our lives.

She is also survived by four granddaughters, Erika (Tom) Kocnesky, Shauna (Allen) Anderson, Kelly Clines and Kimberly (Michael) Kurczewski.  Also survived by 10 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild, and dear friend Mary Russell.

Due to covid restrictions there will be no prior visitation, a private family inurnment will be held at the graveside at a later date.  Online condolences at www.pruddenandkandt.com.To plant a tree in memory of Elizabeth Dershem, please visit Tribute StoreServices for Elizabeth DershemThere are no events scheduled.
