Former Buffalo State football player Khalil Sommerville (Buffalo/Bennett) has signed a professional contract to play in the inaugural season with the Salt Lake Stallions of the Alliance of American Football (AAF).

Sommerville played three seasons as a defensive lineman at Buffalo State from 2015-17, earning All-Empire 8 three times, including first team as a senior and second team as sophomore and junior.  In 31 career games, he had 125 tackles, 32 for loss, 12 sacks, a forced fumble, and one blocked kick.
