Lovis G. Heal passed away October 30, 2018 in Eastern Niagara Hospital.  Born January 4, 1936 in Camden-On-Gauley, WV she was the eldest child of Elza and Gladie Short moving to Lockport with her family at the age of 19.  Lovis worked for Ford Gum Factory, took a break to raise her family and then went to Harrison Radiator.  She was a member of the Home Bureau and enjoyed gardening, backing, cooking, singing with her family and spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Lovis married the late Charles Heal in 195 children that survived her; Cheryl (John) Urtel, Christopher (Paula) Heal, Patrick Heal, Laura (Alma) Heal, and late Melanie McCormick; grandmother of Bret McCormick, Daniel (AJ) Masker, Amanda (Craig Nuccio) Milan, Samuel Provenzano-Heal, Catherine Heal, Sara Heal, Kristina Heal, Katelyn Heal, Faith Heal, and Cambridge Urtel; siblings  Arlen Short, Wanda (Jim) Steblein, Wilda (Peter) Schultz, and late Verlie (David) Rose, Frieda Woods, James (Virginia) Short; several nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends may call Friday, Nov. 2nd from 2-4 and 7-9 PM in Prudden & Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee St., Lockport and Saturday, Nov. 3rd from 10 AM – 11:30 AM with services following at 11:30 AM all Christ Episcopal Church, Rochester Rd & Fieldcrest Dr. (Rt. 31), Lockport.  Interment in Cold Springs Cemetery.
