BUFFALO, N.Y. — For the fifth time this season University at Buffalo sophomore outside hitter Andrea Mitrovic has been named the MAC East Offensive Player of the Week, the Mid-American Conference announced on Monday afternoon.

Mitrovic led the Bulls offensively in their two five-set matches this past weekend.  In a tough five-set loss at Miami on Friday night, Mitrovic had a match-high 28 kills, hitting .228 for the match.  In the win over Bowling Green, Mitrovic added 17 more kills and she finished with 16 digs as she notched another double-double.  For the weekend, Mitrovic averaged 4.50 kills per set.

This is the fourth time in the last five weeks that at least one UB volleyball player has earned MAC player of the week honors.

The Bulls, who are 14-10 on the year and 6-6 in league play, are about to open up a crucial three-match homestand, which begins on Friday night against Kent State.
