BUFFALO, N.Y. — The Canisius softball program has signed four student-athletes , head coach Kim Griffin announced Wednesday.Hannah Catallo-Stooks (Pittsford, N.Y.), Alexis Churchill (St. Clair, Mich.), Hayley Tamaro (Toms River, N.J.)and Lily Wozniak (Orchard Park, N.Y.) will be joining the Blue and Gold for the 2019 season.
Hannah Catallo-Stooks
Before Canisius
• Played five years of varsity softball at Pittsford-Sutherland High School
• Earned all-state, all-county, all-area and all-league honors during her scholastic career.
• Was named the Rochester Girl’s Athlete of the Week May 4, 2017.
• Hit .524 in high high school career with a .903 slugging percentage and a .571 on-base percentage

• The daughter of Mary Catallo and Karen Stooks
• Has one brother, Adam
• Majoring in computer science and criminal justice at Canisius
• Born Feb. 20, 2000.
Alexis Churchill
Before Canisius
• Played three years of varsity softball at St. Clair High School
• Earned all-district and all-regional honors after the 2017 and 2018 seasons
• Served as team captain in 2018 and named team MVP in 2017 and 2018

• The daughter of Thomas and April Churchill
• Has three sibilings Thomas, Brodie and Kiley
• Majoring in marketing and management at the College
• Born Feb. 15, 2000
Hayley Tamaro
Before Canisius
• Played four years of varsity softball at Toms River South High School
• Led the state of New Jersey with her 315 strikeouts in 2018
• Honored as a team MVP twice in her scholastic career
• Served as a team captain for two seasons

• The daughter of Matthew and Christine Tamaro
• Has one brother, Zackary
• Majoring in biochemistry at Canisius

Lily Woznaik
Before Canisius
• Played four years of varsity softball at Orchard Park High School
• Named MVP and second team all-state after the 2018 season
• Named ECIC Division I First-Team and All-Western New York after her senior season
• Served as team captain for two years.

• The daughter of Daniel and Rachel Wozniak
• Has three brothers Wyatt, Holden and Lucas
• Majoring in biology at Canisius

The Canisius softball team will return to action during its fall season Sept. 22-23 when the Golden Griffins take part in the annual Nan Harvey Fall Classic.
