NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. — In celebration of the Thunder of Niagara International Airshow slated for June 9 & 10 and the Air Force Reserve’s 70th anniversary, the base here is hosting several events.
On Thursday, June 7th the following events are scheduled:

At 12:00 PM a four-ship military heritage flight will be in the skies over Western New York to highlight Air Force Reserve Week (Wings of Heritage, Shaping the Future) and as a prelude to the Thunder of Niagara International Air Show on June 9 & 10. Media interested in covering this event should report to Calspan Air Service, 9900 Porter Road, Niagara Falls NY at 9:30 AM for aircraft coverage and interviews.

At 10:00 AM on Thursday planeside interviews with the F-22 TAC Demo team will be held. Interested media should report to the Niagara Falls Air Reserve Station main gate on Lockport Road, at 9:45 AM for escort to the flightline.

At 2:00 PM on Thursday there will be a mass enlistment ceremony at Terrapin Point in front of the the mighty Niagara Falls. Interested media for this unique Air Force Week photo/video opportunity should report prior to the event start at 2:00 PM in Niagara Falls State Park.

At 3:00 PM on Thursday the USAF Thunderbirds will arrive at the air base and planeside interviews will be available. Interested media should report to the main gate on Lockport Road at 2:45 PM for escort to the flightline.

At 5:30 PM on Thursday there will be a free community concert at Hennepin Park on Center Street in Lewiston, NY featuring the USAF Band The Blue Aces. Activities will begin at 5:30 PM for interested media.

On Friday, June 8th:
The air base will be hosting a media day with Thunder of Niagara International Air Show performer interviews available. Interested media should report to the main gate on Lockport Road at 10:45 AM for escort to the event site.

The Thunder of Niagara International Air Show will be held at the base June 9 & 10 featuring the USAF Thunderbirds, Canadian Forces Snowbirds, and many other world class aerial acts. This event is free and open to the public.
