LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. – The Niagara women’s cross country team competed at the 2016 MAAC Championships held at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex on Saturday.

Caroline Hampton led the Purple Eagles for the fourth time this season. Hampton ran the 6K event in 24:49.10. Danielle Dorogi finished five spots behind Hampton with a personal-best time of 24:58.18. Kayla Murphy was third on the team with a time of 25:33.47. Megan Helf (25:44.92), Sarah Grubbs (25:57.51), Aly Orfano (26:04.86) and Mallory Ronan (27:45.52) wrapped up the scoring.

Niagara wraps up the season at the NCAA Northeast Regional at Cortlandt Park in the Bronx on Nov. 11.
